As such, the Fokker 50 is easy to fly. BRNAV, EGPWS, 8.33 kHz / NAV and COM FM-immunity, TCAS II and UNS-1 series NMS have all been certificated on the Fokker 50.

Most of the Fokker 50s are powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada PW125B engines. However, some Fokker 50 aircraft are equipped with the higher rated Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127B engine.
