Fokker100 - Mature aircraft
The accumulated service experience amounts to more than 6 million flying hours. Many aircraft are regularly operated 9 flights per day or 3,500 flying hours per year. The fleet leaders have flown in excess of 30,000 flying hours and cycles. This represents only a third of the aircraft economic design life of 90,000 landings or flight hours, which is based on extensive F28 experience.

Full-scale structural testing to at least 180,000 landings has been done with the findings solved early on during production, ensuring very few structure related (aging aircraft) ADs in the future. Overall, the Fokker 100 is a very mature and reliable aircraft and optimized for high cycle operations.
