Touchdown NH90 on parking lot in Papendrecht the Netherlands

The first Dutch NH90 helicopter in the NFH naval variant  that will enter Dutch service next year, made a surprise appearance at the Fokker Aerostructures manufacturing plant in Papendrecht near Rotterdam, the Netherlands. On board not only the crew but also Fokker Aerospace Group Chief Engineer NH90 Ronald ter Haar who will retire in two weeks, after fifteen years of involvement in the project this was his first flight in the aircraft. All 700 employees of the plant witnessed the touch down of the helicopter.

Fokker Aerospace Group is partner in NH-industries together with Eurocopter (France) and Agusta (Italy),the company is responsible for the design, development and production of the tail, the landing gear, the door and the sponsons of the NH90

At the moment, three production-standard NFH aircraft are taking part in the test program. They are the first aircraft built for France, the first built for Italy, and the first built for the Netherlands.
