Gulfstream Aerospace “Top Performer“ Award for the second time to Fokker Aerostructures
The US aircraft manufacturer Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation named Fokker Aerostructures a “Top Performer” in the Structures category at Gulfstream’s annual Suppliers Conference, held April 2 and 3, for meeting all expectations of Gulfstream with respect to quality, reliability, delivery time and product/after market support during the year 2006. It is the second year in a row that Fokker Aerostructures has received this award from Gulfstream.
Executive Vice President Henk Valk of Fokker Aerostructures stated: we are proud to receive this award for the second time, it shows that we are a reliable, dedicated partner for Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. It is also a huge compliment to the excellent cooperation between the teams of both companies, that are already working together for more then a decade.
Since 1993, Fokker Aerostructures has been responsible for the design and manufacture of the tail section of Gulfstream’s ultra-long-range business jets -- the in-production G550 and G500 and the earlier GV.For the construction Fokker Aerostructures uses a combination of carbon and metal to achieve the ideal properties: low weight, high strength and excellent aerodynamics.
