Boeing 'Supplier of the Year' Award for Fokker Aerostructures

The US aircraft manufacturer The Boeing Company has named Fokker Aerostructures as best supplier of 2004 in the Major Structures category. The 'Supplier of the Year' Award was presented for the contributions to the Apache helicopter and the C 17 military transport aircraft.
For the Apache combat helicopter Fokker Aerostructures, part of Fokker Aerospace Group, supplies the so-called IEFABs (Improved Extended Forward Avionics Bays), the electronics housings, of which 555 have now been supplied. The contribution to the
C-17 involves components for the complex loading ramp/door of the aircraft's hold, as well as composite parts.
Fokker Aerospace Group develops and produces advanced components and systems for the aviation and aerospace industry, and supplies integrated services and products to aircraft owners and operators. The group achieved a turnover of € 495 million in 2004 with 3,182 employees out of the total Stork turnover of €1.82 billion.
