Selection Procedure

The trainee programme runs all year round. This means you can join at any time, provided you’re selected, of course. You’ll find the steps you need to take, below:

Step 1: Getting to know each other
If after reading your letter and CV we think that you’re suitable and motivated enough to take part in the management trainee program, we’ll invite you to come and talk to us. This will allow us to get to know each other. You will receive further information about Fokker and the trainee programme and we will gain an impression of you and your knowledge, skills, attitude, interests and motivation.

Step 2: Further selection
Once you’ve completed step 1 successfully, you’ll get to know the persons who will play an important role in your trainee programme. In this phase we try to clearly identify your competences and development points, so that we can personalise the traineeship for you.

Step 3: Assessment
The next step is an assessment, in which we check if you match the leadership profile. This assessment usually takes a full day, after which you’ll hear immediately if you’re suitable for the trainee programme.

Step 4: Discussing the conditions of employment
Following this, all that’s required is to discuss the conditions of employment and of course the date on which you can start. We will then start looking for a suitable first project, and we’ll assign a coach who’s a good match for you.

In the selection process we have several selection points. The starting point is a Master degree. We prefer a completed Master at a Technical University or a Master degree related to our business processes . Important is that you can convince us of proven technical affinity.  Next to that you have approximately 1 year of relevant working experience within a high tech business environment and gained managerial and international experience during your study and extracurricular activities.

Since the assignments will be performed with the several Fokker companies in Holland, and also at international locations of Fokker or business partners of Fokker, you are willing to travel to those different locations on a regular base. Therefore you hold a driving license which is valid in The Netherlands. Last but not least you have knowledge of the Dutch language with reference to the training program and projects in The Netherlands.

If you think you have what it takes for the Fokker management trainee programme, then we would like to meet you. So please send us your application together with a detailed supporting letter and your CV.
